Intimacy Tip #3

“A loving doe, a graceful deer– may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be captivated by her love.” -Proverbs 5:19

Is it so terrible to say that God created men with a desire for breasts? There are many verses in the bible that tell us that men like breasts, and God created it that way. I’m sure the moment God made Eve, Adam thought, “Woooweee”. We have to understand, as women and wives, that God has created an inner desire in our husbands for the breasts of his wife. God is saying in Proverbs 5:19 that a wife’s breasts are always to satisfy her husband. Now for Tip #3.

How many of you keep your shirt or bra on while having sex?  God didn’t intend for us to be partly clothed during intimate times with our spouse. Now sometimes it might happen that way but if this is a regular thing, think about changing it. You and your husband will both enjoy the experience way more if you do. God created some kind of chemical in our bodies that reacts to being touched and He also created a chemical in our husbands that reacts to the touching!  If you are self conscience about your body, know that your husband loves your body no matter what. He thinks you are rock star gorgeous. If you have nursed a bunch of babies and your breasts aren’t the same as they once were (uh…me), your husband doesn’t care and honestly you won’t either. Let’s captivate our husbands and not let laziness or lies we may believe about ourselves hinder a loving experience with our spouse.

Your stature is like that of the palm, and your breasts like clusters of fruit.  I said, ‘I will climb the palm tree; I will take hold of its fruit.’  May your breasts be like clusters of grapes on the vine.” – Song of Solomon 7:7-8

I opened my email this morning and chucked! Hubs was just relaying a similar thought about this! We are both lamenting the upcoming breastfeeding season (I’m 26wks pregnant with boy #4) where they will have more if a utilitarian function than either of us would like. But we’ve learned to work though it.
